basic and high-level identification solutions

The Basic verification is free of any monthly subscription charges, but still allows you full access to the IMS profiling system. High-level verification requires a small monthly subscription to VERiiD IMS by credit card.

Basic online identification

This is the most basic form of online identity verification and takes a few minutes to do. The following are checked and verified online with a total confidence scoring of 50%. This is the most common online identification level, recommended to most standard type web sites and online services.

• » Validity of SSN (USA) or ID number (South Africa)
•     The validity of your number was verified by a verification agency.
• » Name and Surname verified
• » Age Verified
• » Gender Verified
• » Citizenship
•     Your Names, Surname, Age, Gender and Citizenship was verified by a verification agency.
• » Email verified
•     A secret code was sent to your Email address and you received it and entered it.
• » Mobile phone number verified
•     A secret code was sent to your Mobile phone and you received it and entered it.
• » Knowledge Based Authentication (KBA) passed - All = 50%
•     These are questions compiled from information received from public record that only the legitimate
      owner of the record should be able to answer, if you answer all correct, you are verified to this level.

High-level online identification

This is for Web sites who want to enforce the highest level of verification to achieve maximum credibility and Member protection. You have to form a Web of Trust and go beyond the Basic verification (50%) with the following verification protocols added. A total online confidence scoring of 100% can be reached and upon reaching 100%, you can become a VERiiD notary.

• » Basic verification done (50%)
•     All of the Basic verification steps were completed successfully, as above.
• » Physical address verified (an additional 10%)
•     A secret code was sent to your physical address and you received it and entered it.
• » Copy of Picture ID uploaded (an additional 10%)
•     A copy of your Picture ID reflecting your detail and photo was uploaded.
• » Photo uploaded
•     A digital "mug shot" photo of yourself was uploaded into your Profile.
• » Photo uploaded and Picture ID compared by VERiiD Notary (an additional 10%)
•     A Notary physically compared the uploaded photo to your copy of the picture ID.
• » One Personal Vouch Verification (PVV) (an additional 10%) or two PVV (an additional 20%)
•     Another VERiiD Member, older than 21, that has completed the Basic verification themselves,
      have personally vouched for your identity and your photo.
• » Notary status can only be given to a 100% Member by a VERiiD Notary.
